Stop Unethical Layoff Practices: Companies Need to Do Better

👉 When Google laid off 12,000 employees in January 2022, CEO Sundar Pichai sent a letter to affected employees explaining the reasoning behind the layoffs and outlining the support and benefits that would be provided to them during this difficult time. While I do not condone the layoffs, it is important to recognize that at least Google and other major companies had the grace to communicate with their employees in this manner. 💬💻

👀 However, there are still companies out there that refuse to acknowledge their mistakes and instead force employees to resign without giving them any clear reason, benefits or even exit interviews. This is an unethical practice that needs to stop. Companies need to have empathy and kindness towards their employees, treating them as more than just resources. 💪🙏

💡 While it may be understandable to lay off employees during difficult times, the process should be conducted with more grace and transparency. We need to learn from our mistakes and strive to do better, especially when it comes to how we treat our employees. 📈👥

🤝 Let's make sure that we hold companies accountable for their actions and demand that they treat their employees with respect and dignity. Only then can we truly create a workplace that values its employees and fosters a culture of trust and loyalty. 🙌💯
