While Education Industry is coping with ‘back to normal’ scenarios post COVID, implementing a strong Information Technology system in campus has become the top priority for the campuses.
But in order for technology to truly support teachers’ work and students’ learning goals, it has to be deployed thoughtfully. Every school and classroom uses multiple system accounts, software applications and technology services, which means that things can become cumbersome fast. Ultimately, teachers and students just need their tools to work as expected.
Therefore, it’s the responsibility of IT teams to prevent technology from ever becoming a barrier to learning. Here are some of tips for IT team in any schools that they should focus to implement:
1. Ensure Single Sign on (SSO) for multiple software solutions in the campus.
2. Give everyone (Office Users, Faculty, Students, Parents and other stakeholders) access to needed tools and services immediately and without interruptions.
3. Set up virtual workspaces, laboratory, classrooms, and Library where everyone can collaborate.
4. Support trainers and teachers with well-crafted learning resources.
5. Ensure Stakeholders especially teachers spend less time on technology (Making it very simple to use) so that they can focus more on Teaching and Learning.
